Abstract

This research aims to analyze the use of the electronic channel in some bank with
technology-based services in Indonesia through the level of relative efficiency and efficiency
frontier. This research categorizes electronic channel as Automated Teller Machine (ATM),
Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and Software or Information Technology that invested by bank.
Relative Efficiency proxies by fee based income and the amount of transaction.
The research subject were 20 decision making units of sample from 4 banks that fulfilled
purposive sampling criteria in the period 2009 up to 2013. The methods used in this study was

The result showed that the level of relative efficiency for each bank and category has
various results. Some banks have relative efficiency levels that are likely to be stable for 5
periods. some decision making units have not even reached the level of optimum efficiency, so at
the stage of table of peer units analysis, input slack appears.
